Hi, just wanted to say that I have the same issue on debian sid on a ppc imac... not sure if there is a solution. I get the exact same errors on the commandline.

Hello!

Having defeated the "GSTREAMER Error" by changing the sound settings to GNOME I managed to record two tracks of audio.

However when I time shift the first track forward and press play it only plays back up till the start of the time shifted track then stops.

For example if track one starts after 1 second and track 2 starts straight away the program only plays back 1 second of audio.

How do I fix this and how can I hear they other tracks when recording?

I take a look to StatusBar.py : "gtk.Statusbar contains a label inside a frame inside itself"

but "self.get_children()[0].get_children()[0]" is a 'gtk.HBox' ..
So I check inside this box and found the label ..

This works for me : replace

* /usr/share/jokosher/Jokosher/ui/StatusBar.py

Code:

self.label = self.get_children()[0].get_children()[0]

by this

Code:

box = self.get_children()[0].get_children()[0]
self.label = box.get_children()[0]

Hi there!

I am using Debian sid, and wanted to try Jokosher.
Jokosher launches, but everytime I try to create a new project, I get an error message box, saying that the project could not be initialized, whatever the audio preferences are (jack, alsa or OSS).

Lauching Jokosher from the command line with -d switch gives the following output:

I've been trying to get this to work on my system for about two days now but any time I open it, I get a whole slew of "Entry Point Not Found" errors dealing with lots of Gstreamer stuff.

I'm in Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit, and I already have a portion of the gstreamer libraries on my system from trying some open source programs.

Any idea why I might be getting that many problems?

You need to install package python-gtk2
http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/python/python-gtk2

Are you have complete repositories in /etc/apt/sources.list?

I tried to install Jokosher using the Deb on the download page but I get the following error:

When I'm try playback the track record somethings wrong with the jokosher. it says "GStreamer encountered a general resource error. If this problem persists consider reporting a bug using the link in the help menu."

I try jokosher with my Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. Has anyone know to solve this problem.

Development is still continuing, but the amount of development depends on how busy we are with other things.

You can make use of virtually any LADSPA effects within Jokosher, you simply need to install some on your system and they'll be available to Jokosher. If you're using a Debian/Ubuntu system then just install the swh-plugins and tap-plugins packages and you'll have a nice selection of effects. Then just press the "effects" button (looks like a magic wand) on an instrument to add an effect.

So, as of December 18, 2009, is development still continuing on this project. I have to say, I like the interface much better than Audacity, but I'm forced to use Audacity because of the feature set. Are there plugins for Jokosher to add basic effects reverb and such? If not, will this be added?
